A cute mushroom box gifted during Christmas led to a culinary journey, with oyster mushrooms taking center stage. From classic stir-fries to pasta dishes, our experimentation culminated in the creation of a BBQ Mushroom Burger.

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 Oyster Mushrooms

  • A little bit of red cabbage

  • 2 tbsp of joghurt

  • 6-7 Potatoes

  • Melting Cheese

  • lettuce

  • Burger Buns

  • Onion

For the BBQ Sauce:

  • ½ an onion

  • 8 Tbsp Ketchup

  • 150 ml of water

  • 1 tbsp of agave syrup

  • 1 tbsp mild curry powder 

  • 1 tbsp apple concentrate 

  • Pinch of salt 

Directions:

  1. First cut the potatoes into wedges and bake in the oven for about 20 min. oven 200 degrees.

  2. Cut the red cabbage in small stripes and massage it with salt, let it sit for about 10 min. 

  3. Pull the mushrooms with a fork into stripes and cut onion into small pieces.

  4. Stir fry onion with a little bit of olive oil and add the mushrooms. Stir fry them for about 5-6 min in total on high heat. 

  5. Add yogurt to the cabbage and set aside. 

  6. For your BBQ-Sauce you need to cut an onion in small pieces. Then mix all ingredients together: ketchup, agave syrup, curry powder and salt and a little bit of apple concentrate.

  7. Put the burger buns in the oven for 2-3 min ober 200 degrees.

  8. Garnish your burger with a piece of lettuce, mushrooms, cheese and red cabbage.

  9. Enjoy!
